Tuikkulyhtylöytö / Found some candel holders

Päivät ovat jo lyhyet ja illat pimenee nopeaan. On mukava poltella iltaisin kynttilöitä tuomaan valoa tähän pimeään aikaan.


Days are getting so short and it's dark early in the afternoon. It's nice to burn some candles during the evenings, they give some light for this dark period.





Liitereiden tavaroita penkoessa löysin kopallisen vanhoja lasipurkkeja, kaikenlaisia erimallisia sillipurkkeja ja hillopurkkeja. Sinne ne on joku säilönyt isoon pärekoppaan pahan päivän varalle. Otin nämä pienet purkit keittiöön ja pesin ja nyt ne saa toimia tämän talven tuikkulyhtyinä. Mukava näköiset minusta.


I found these old glas jars from one of our sheds. There was big basket full of all kind of old glas jars, fish jars, jam jars etc. Someone has store them there. I took these small jars and wash them and now they can be candle holders for this winter. I think they are looking nice.





Nuo liiterit ovat pullollaan kaiken maailman tavaraa. Vanhoja ovia löytyy vaikka kuinka, olen miettinyt jos vaihtaisi sisäoviksi tähän taloon. Pitää vielä mittailla ja suunnitella, mutta todennäköisesti ovat kuitenkin tämän talon alkuperäisiä ovia, joten luulisi sopivan. Vanhoja ikkunoitakin löytyy, niistä saa joskus tehtyä kauniin kasvihuoneen. Vanhoja penkkejä, rukki, vaikka mitä. Aina kun jotakin penkoo, niin jonkun tavaran takaa löytyy uusia aarteita. Pikkuhiljaa käyn nuita tavaroita läpi ja mietin mihin niitä laittaisi tai käyttäisi. Ihana kun kaikkea vanhaa ei ole heitetty pois vaan löytyy kaikenlaisia aarteita.

Those sheds are full of all kind of things. There is old doors, I think they are the original doors of the house. Maybe one day we will put them back, they would look nice, wooden indoors. Have to measure if they fit, but I think they will. There is also plenty old windows in sheds, maybe make the greenhouse one of those.I have found also some old benches, spinning wheel etc. everytime you look behind something there is something new.

Vanhan talon aarteita / Treasures of the old house

Tähän taloon on jätetty valtavasti kaikkea vanhaa tavaraa. Osa tavaroista on varmasti ollut talon alkuajoista saakka täällä. Olen kierrellyt navetan vintillä ja liitereissä ja löytänyt vaikka mitä kaikkea kivaa. Työkaluvarastoa ollaan siivottu ja heitetty vähemmän vanhoja tavaroita pois, jotta saa omille tilaa. Mutta joukosta löytyy vanhoja sahoja, vasaroita, höyliä yms., ne käyvät hyvin koristeiksi, kunhan löytyy sopiva paikka.

People have lefte plenty things in this house. Some of the things must be as old as the house. I have been wondering around the cowhouse and sheds and fould all the nice things. We have been cleaning the workshop to get some space for our tools and throug away some goods that we don't need. But we have found some old saws, hammers, shaves etc., they will be nice to put somewhere as decoration.

Navetan vintiltä löytyi nämä vanhat hevoskärryt. Aivan mahtavat. Tällaisia kärryjä olen halunnut kauan, on komean näköinen kesällä pihalla. Täytyy vain käsitellä kärryt jollain, jotta ei mene piloille ulkona kesän aikana. Sitten kukkia kyytiin.

There is in the cowhouse this old carriage, this is awesome. I have been looking for something like this, to put in the garden during the summer. I think, I have to put some wax or something on the top first, to protect wood from the rain and sunshine. But after that I will keep this in the garden and put some flowers there.




Vanhoja ikkunoita ja ovia löytyy kasapäin. Ja näyttäisi tuolla nurkassa pilkottavan rukkikin. Ikkunoista teen vielä joskus kasvihuoneen, kunhan saa muut remontit pois alta. Saa nähdä mitä vanhoista ovista keksii, tulisi hienoja komeroita tai pöydän kansia tms. Myös vanhaa tuppeen sahattua lautaa löytyy paljon ja vanhoja listoja. Tykkään värkätä kaikkea, joten niillekin varmasti tulee käyttöä.

Then in the sheds there is plenty old windows and old doors. And you can see also old spinning wheel behind the windows in the corner. Someday I'm planning to make the greenhouse of these old windows, just need to get all the other renovation ready first. Old doors I think I can use as table top or make some old style cabinets. Also there is plenty timber woods what we can use as well.





Tämäkin pinnasänky löytyi navetan vintiltä. Tämä on oikea vanhan ajan pinnasänky. Maali jo kulunut, mutta muuten hyvässä kunnossa. Tästä saa vielä hyvän, kun maalaa ja laittaa.


This babybed was in the cowhouse. This is real old one. Paint is already little bit worn out, but otherwise it's ok. This will be fine after little bit painting.




Ja viimeisenä, mutta ei vähäisimpänä, tämäkin tuoli löytyi navetasta. Alkuperäinen Ilmari Tapiovaaran tuoli. Jalka on päässyt irtoamaan, mutta sen kun korjaa, niin tuoli on oikein hyvä käyttöön. Onneksi jalka on kuitenkin tallella.


And last but not least, this chair was also in the cowhouse. This is Finnish design chair from 1950's, Ilmari Tapiovaara is the designer, still very popular chairs in Finland. Foot is of, but that is easy to fix, good that foot is still there. After fixing, this will be good chair to use.
